The Toyota company extended the first information on a hatchback of Auris of the new generation which debut will take place in September, 2012 on motor show in Paris.
The dimensional length of new Auris makes 4275 millimeters, width — 1760 millimeters, and the height is equal 1460 millimeters. The model turned out on 30 millimeters more long and on 55 millimeters below the predecessor. The width and wheel base of a hatchback (2600 millimeters) remained former.
The free space for feet of back passengers increased by two centimeters, and the length of a luggage carrier became more on nine centimeters. At the expense of it the volume of a cargo compartment increased on six liters — to 360 liters (at a hybrid it will make only 127 liters).
Use of a new type of steel for a body allowed to increase rigidity of a design by torsion for ten percent. Thus the model became easier — a maximum on 40 kgs depending on updating.
Detailed technical characteristics of new Auris aren't disclosed yet. In the company only note that the model will have a former line of engines (1,3-and 1,6-liter petrol units, a 1,4-liter diesel engine and the hybrid power plant), but all of them will be modernized. Later in scale BMW diesel engine to which Japanese got access thanks to the partner agreement will be added.
In addition, the hatchback will have the optional glass roof, the recustomized suspension bracket and a steering, and also sports updating of RS.
