<h1>Ford Focus has become the most popular model in the world in 2012</h1>

According to the R.L. Polk & Co company. number of the new cars registered in 2012, the most sold model in the world Ford Focus became counted. In 12 months in all markets it was sold in total 1 million 20 thousand 410 copies of model.

The biggest success of Ford Focus has made the Chinese market, where the registration of the model increased by 51 percent. In fact, more than one out of four sold in 2012, the "focus" went to China. In the U.S., growth in sales of the model was 40 percent.

The success of Ford in 2012 was promoted also by high sales of the Fiesta model which in Polk recognized as the most sold subcompact model of year with result of 723 thousand 130 registration (the sixth place in the general offset). Thus, in 2012 it was the share of only two global compact Ford models 1 million 743 thousand 540 sales.

"Focus and Fiesta represent the culmination of our new global strategy of One Ford" — Jim Farley, the executive vice-president of Ford for global marketing, sales and service commented on results of the report of Polk. 

 The third place in the general offset and the first in the category was occupied by one more Ford model – the F-Series pickups which have dispersed worldwide with a circulation of 785 thousand 630 copies.

 It should be noted that representatives of Toyota already challenged Polk rating, having declared that in reality the Japanese brand sold not 872 774 copies of Corolla, and 1 million 160 thousand. Possibly, the divergence in 300 thousand units of production arose because as Toyota counted the sold copies of Corolla Axio and Corolla Altis (are on sale in Japan and South East Asia respectively), and Polk didn't consider these models in the statistics.
