Diesel A-Class became the most economic Mercedes-Benz in the history


The Mercedes-Benz company announced new modification of the A-Class models under the name BlueEFFICIENCY. The economic version is intended for petrol A180 and diesel A180 CDI, transfers Autoevolution.
Petrol Mercedes-Benz a 180 BE equipped with a 1.6-liter engine with a capacity of 122 horsepower, spending one in the combined cycle of 5.2 litres of fuel on hundred kilometres of run. CO2 emissions in such a machine is 120 grams per kilometre.

The A180 CDI BE version which has become the most economic in the history of Mercedes-Benz, is set in motion by a 1,5-liter turbodiesel received thanks to cooperation with the Renault company. This unit gives out the 109th horsepower, and its ecological characteristics are even higher: only 3,6 liters of the fuel spent for 100 kilometers of run in the mixed cycle, and emissions of CO2 at the level of 92 grams per kilometer.

Both BlueEFFICIENCY options were about 5% more economic than standard versions of model without a what package thanks to such improvements, as special front grilles (the coefficient of front resistance decreased with 0.27 till 0.26), the suspension bracket underestimated on 15 millimeters, the recustomized steering and transmission with longer transfer numbers.

The BlueEFFICIENCY version is calculated on clients of Mercedes-Benz, wishing to buy the magnificent compact car which will be assessed thus with a low tax and becomes rather cheap in operation. It will be possible to order a novelty since February 1, 2013, and the first commodity cars will reach buyers in March.

  1. When Mercedes launches some hatchback,people sought it as complete ultra-luxurious car in a small packaging but that's not true with A class which is not up to the level of Audi S3.
