In a threshold of the North American international motor show in Detroit Lexus published the first official photos of a sedan of Lexus IS of new generation in the F-Sport version, reports Autoblog.
Externally the novelty is similar to the LF-CC concept car presented in September, 2012 within a motor show in Paris. Dimensional length of IS of new generation increased by 70 millimeters (now it makes 4660 millimeters), and the interior is executed in the spirit of the Lexus LFA supercar and became much more spacious. In salon of the car there were sports seats and the back chairs developing in a proportion 60/40.
The car with a F-Sport package differs from usual an aerodynamic weather-cloth, a front grille with "the overestimated waist", rims of bigger diameter, special finishing of an interior and the underestimated sports suspension bracket. The package is available to IS250, IS350 versions and hybrid IS300h. The power plant of the last consists of the 2,5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine, an electric motor, a set of accumulators and a variator. Its total capacity equals to 240 horsepowers. On a North American motor show such car won't be exposed.
In Detroit the sedan will be presented only, and the compartment and a cabriolet will appear later. In 2014 also there is a "loaded" Lexus IS-F version which will receive a new turbocharger with power not less than 450 horsepowers
