The facelifted Nissan Micra line-up is made up of three models, with a starting price of £9,950
Nissan has confirmed prices and specs for its revised Micra line-up. The new car is available to order now, arrives in UK showrooms in September, and prices will start at £9,950.
The entry-level model is the Micra Visia, which features six airbags, Bluetooth, electric front windows, remote central locking and USB connectivity as standard.
Next up is the Acenta, which costs from £11,550 and adds alloys, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, climate control and cruise control.
Topping the revised Micra range is the Tekna. Prices start at £12,950, and equipment includes NissanConnect navigation, parking space measurement, rear parking sensors and keyless go.
There are two engines to choose from. Both are 1.2-litre petrols, with the standard unit developing 79bhp and the supercharged DIG-S engine developing 97bhp. A manual gearbox is standard, but a CVT is available as an option with both engines.
The 79bhp 1.2-litre engine returns a claimed average of 57.mpg and emits 115g/km of CO2, while the high-power engine actually returns better fuel economy figures, of 68.9mpg and 95g/km of CO2.
The revised Micra has been given a fairly extensive redesign to help make the car look a little more masculine. The bug-eyed look of the old car is gone, and replaced by a redesigned grille, bonnet, front wings, headlights and front bumper.
At the rear, there’s new LED tail-lights and a new bumper, while buyers will also be able to choose from a selection of new alloy wheel designs.
