The current model of the BMW M3 is already getting ready to close the proceedings, and in the near future will be replaced by the new generation. However, the car is in great demand and, to prove it, BMW introduced a new model designed specifically for the North American market, in honor of the race track Lime Rock Park.The track is owned and operated by the sailing school Skip Barber, a recent special edition of the M3 notes the long-standing relations between BMW, Lime Rock Park and thousands of drivers and fans attending this track. Prepared for the 2013 model year exclusive M3 bears the name of Lime Rock Park Edition and has some improvements, compared with the standard model of the car was based on the 2013 BMW M3 Coupe and painted in a bright orange color, with a completely black, a leather-trimmed interior. The model will be installed on the Competition Package, titanium muffler, aerodynamic carbon fiber and Alcantara trimmed steering wheel. Finally, each M3 Coupe Lime Rock Park Edition will have identification badges on the center console, and a certificate of authenticity: it will be released only 200 cars.
Since no serious changes of transmission was not planned, 4.0-liter V8 still produces 414 HP and 400 Nm of torque. BMW makes no mention of the gearbox, so most likely, on the customer's choice will be available to either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic with double clutch.
