The sports electroroadster of Honda EV-Ster debuted in Tokyo


The Honda company brought on motor show to Tokyo a conceptual sports electric roadster of EV-Ster.
According to the creative director of Japanese brand Tosinobu Minabi, this car provides guidance on appearance of future Honda models, and also «transfers all scale of emotions which the producer will try to transfer on the cars».

The dimensional length of a prototype makes 3570 millimeters, the width is equal to 1500 millimeters, height — to 1100 millimeters. The wheel base reaches 3525 millimeters.

 The RWD roadster received carbon fiber body panels, the compact electromotor and a set lithium - ion accumulators in capacity ten kilowatt-hours. According to the producer, from scratch to 60 kilometers per hour such car is accelerated in five seconds. The maximum speed of the car makes 160 kilometers per hour.

Without additional charge the concept car can pass to 160 kilometers. On charging batteries from a network with tension of 100 volts, six hours, and from a 200-volt network — is required three hours.

The car received an electronic steering with two joysticks instead of a steering wheel and possibility completely to adjust all parameters of the car, including work of a suspension bracket and return of the power plant.


 Official information on Honda EV-Ster start in a series while isn't present. According to preliminary data, similar electrocar can enter the Japanese market within the next two years.
