For those jaded by the prospect of yet another A6, 5-Series or E-Class, Italy proudly presents a pretty and powerful alternative. Although the new Maserati Ghibli is a conventional sedan -- an extra-curvaceous one, to be sure -- the trident-badge brand's leadership believes it can challenge the coupe-like competitors from Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

2013 Honda Civic EX
The Honda Civic was extensively refreshed for 2012, yet amongst most of us who keep tabs on new cars and how they drive, it was met with a collective “meh.” There wasn't anything overtly wrong or half-baked with the new and seemingly stark and more conservative Civic; it just didn't have sparkle and shine.

2013 Scion xD TRD
The thought of a performance version of the Scion xD may not set our souls on fire, or anyone’s really. Based on the Toyota Yaris platform, the xD starts out life lacking any performance DNA to speak of. And, with the current generation of the Scion xD having been on sale since 2008, the vehicle is getting a bit tired and old as only minor updates have occurred during its lifespan.
But all of this hasn’t deterred Toyota Racing Development (TRD) from having a go at the sub-compact to make it more exciting and keep it interesting. So can TRD take the $16,500 xD, add $4,600 worth of style and performance upgrades, and make it something you’d want to buy?

2014 Chevrolet Cruze diesel drive review
What is it?
As the name implies, the Cruze diesel is, well, a Chevrolet Cruze with a diesel engine. It’s the first diesel car GM has sold in the U.S. since the 1980s; depending upon your age and experience with those V6 and V8 GM diesels, they were either forgettable or you still haven't forgiven the company for selling them to an unsuspecting public. We have good news: It’s time to move on.

2013 Infiniti FX37
This is one of those cars I liked more than I thought I would. The 2013 Infiniti FX37 is a good size, looks cool and swoopy and different -- and it’s very well built. I had a guy pull up to me in a new Cadillac Escalade and roll down his window and tell me how cool he thought it was. The shape is a little left field, but that’s cool -- I like it.
2014 Aston Martin Vanquish
Rolls-Royce and Bentley, brothers-in-arms for decades, were split up and absorbed by, respectively, BMW and Volkswagen. Both brands have achieved record sales since. VW also revived Lamborghini and Bugatti, lavishing resources and components to allow these tiny and often-troubled brands to thrive as never before. Ferrari and Maserati, once fierce Italian rivals, now share and share alike, playing nice within the Fiat family.

Venom GT
Fight for a rank "the fastest serial car in the world" comes again to new level. Truces, in a segment occupied by the extremely rare, it is impossible expensive supercars of manual assembly, won't come, most likely, never. But, on the mountain there was a new king: Hennessey Venom GT. At least, from the technical point of view.

Porsche again captured the title of "Sports car of the year"
In addition to numerous premier auto show in New York, stood out among the rest of this year's auto show presentation of the annual awards World Car Awards, and in the most important category for us, the 2013 World Performance Car, winning laurels went to Sportcar Porsche Boxster and Cayman.Bavarian mid-engined sportscars opposed such heavyweights as the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta and Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ / Toyota GT86, and it is recognized that the victory over such serious contenders, especially Ferrari, really shows what a long way the Boxster and Cayman have been over the years .

Subaru WRX
New life WRX
In advance we will warn you: Subaru WRX Concept presented in New York hardly will reach a mass production in its current form. Subaru also claims that the magnificent concept car, generally represents an example "new philosophy of design" WRX. But we are already enough taught by bitter experience of last motor shows not too to become attached to a concept. Nevertheless, all of us will equally ask: please, Subaru, it isn't necessary to change anything.

Updated Chevrolet Camaro submitted together with the track version
Within a motor show in New York the world premiere of updated Chevrolet Camaro and its revived track Z/28 version took place.
The well-known sport car received the little changes of the design which first of all have mentioned forward part of model. Narrower front grille with the chromeplated finishing, and also the changed form of a bumper and ventilating openings on a cowl became the main innovation. Behind the main attention is drawn by integral LED lamps instead of former steam rooms. On a trunk lid there was a repeater of a stoplight which on some modifications disappears under a back spoiler.
