CTS-V to the Bavarian steroids

It is difficult to believe that less than ten years ago, there was not a car, as the Cadillac CTS-V. But ever since the first 5.7-liter monsters appeared in the show rumah Cadillac at the end of 2003, the world of super sedans overturned. And, more importantly, the debut of CTS-V erase any doubt about the fact that "pensioner" brand GM has put an end to the era of tire Whitewall, seat cushions and soft as cotton, pendants.
Now, three members of the family of the second generation of CTS-V - a charming sedan, a stylish compartment and the versatile person breaking off templates - are on the first front line, in war of high-efficiency magnificent cars, without allowing the Bavarian rivals to relax. Also there is at least one German tuner - Geiger Cars if to be exact - which helps impudent Americans to win the home team.

Outside this CTS-V Coupe is not very different from the stock model: lower road clearance; the polished, opaque gray wheels and the V Series logos on doors, represent the main innovations of an exterior. But, frankly speaking, we don't consider that CTS-V Coupe were required any changes in this plan.

But we open the hood, and the picture just play with new colors. Geiger replaced catabatic turbine unit used in the Corvette ZR1, and spent a total modernization of the engine. The end result was a surge of 556, up to 610 horsepower. Geiger says that thanks to the tuning of the engine, changing the first hundred takes only 4.6 seconds, with a top speed of 330 km/h.

These updates also raise the cost of ownership of the CTS-V Coupe. And when we say raise, we have in mind - bred in the ionosphere. Study Finnish: the CTS-V Coupe is sold in Germany for $108 700, including taxes, shipping and all the other "trifles of life." After tuning Geiger Cars, the price is $162 700.

It is difficult to present that many fans of sport cars living in the Old World, will lay out the similar sum for the car which has left not Stuttgart, or Modena. But, for well-founded enthusiasts, it is considerable plus - after all the rarity of the car is one more reason for boasting.
