Lexus wants to let out the "emotional" successor of the LFA supercar


The management of Lexus thinks of release of model which becomes the ideological successor of the LFA supercar and will add to luxury brand of an emotionality, reports Automotive News.


"To create more emotional brand, the flagman model is necessary for us. And we want to create it", – the executive vice-president of Lexus Kazuo Ohara declared.

For introduction of updating of appearance of the Lexus models earlier I declared the international competition of design of Lexus Design Award which will last till December 31. Winners of competition will be able to create own prototypes at the expense of the Japanese producer.

The company also intends to concentrate on release of new compartments: serial versions of concepts of LF-CC and LF-LC and two-door modification of a sedan of IS of the following generation. In addition, Japanese intend to enter into a segment of compact crossovers for which the NX indexes are already patented.

Currently, Lexus is developing new engines. Cars of brand will receive some additional petrol units and two new hybrid power plants in addition to already existing to six. Any details about them doesn't reveal yet.

In Lexus added that their marketing strategy will be concentrated in public that didn't yet buy the car of a bonus segment. Thus, Japanese actually refuse from the competition to BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi, having preferred rivalry with Cadillac, Infiniti and Lincoln.
The Lexus LFA supercar was laid off on December 14 this year. In total since 2010 500 copies of model were let out.
