The BMW 4-Series concept coupe is officially presented


The BMW company opened information concerning the concept coupe 4-Series which came in stead of two-door option of model 3-Series. The public debut of the prototype close to a production version, will take place in January, 2013 on a motor show in Detroit.

In comparison with a compartment 3-Series the novelty was extended on 29 millimeters (to 4641 millimeters), became 44 millimeters wider (1826 millimeters) and 16 millimeters below (1362 millimeters). The extent of wheel base of a compartment is equal now to 2810 millimeters (50 millimeters more, than at the predecessor). The track in front and behind increased by 45 and 80 millimeters — to 1545 and 1593 millimeters respectively.

The car received a landing formula "2+2", completely LED headlights of head light, 20-inch rims and an aggressive weather-cloth of a body with additional ventilating openings on forward wings and the branch pipes of final system integrated into a rear bumper.

According to preliminary information, the serial compartment will be offered from four - and six-cylinder turbo engine, including with the 2,0 and 3,0 liters units developing 245 and 306 horsepowers. They will be aggregated with six-step "manual" and eight-step "automatic".

Production BMW 4-Series has to begin in July, 2013. In November, as expected, the open version of model debuts.
