The first show-room of BMW i Store is open

BMW opened the first of several new shops which will represent production of division of i which is engaged in electric vehicles. The first BMW i Store is located in the fashionable area of Park Lane in London. Together with BMW shop opening also presented the updated version of the i3 concept car which serial version leaves next year.





i3 based on an original concept, presented to public on the Frankfurt motor show in 2011, the updated version receives the new interior which materials, as expected, will pass to serial model. They include skin, a tree and even wool.

BMW also let's to us look better at a new interior of i3 or as the company calls it, the Life module. The salon isn't divided by a habitual central tunnel, both the interior creates open and spacious feeling. Full-size seats benches in front and behind allow passengers to change conveniently for a place and with ease to leave the car on close parkings.















 






All devices and management elements such as management of audio and functions of climate control are integrated into the dashboard, eliminating need for the console and releasing a place. The independent 6,5-inch display of the dashboard over a wheel and the 8,8-inch central display display all necessary information. The last also provides functionality of various appendices. The third display is responsible for management of an audiosystem and climate control.

As to a running gear of the car, the so-called module "Drive", BMW stakes on the compact electric motor transferring the moment to a back axis and eating from lithium - the ion accumulator. The maximum engine capacity will be up to standard of 170 h.p., and 230 Nanometers of a torque while a course stock on one additional charge will make about 150 km. Thanks to the easy body consisting mainly of carbon fiber, the gross weight of i3 shouldn't exceed 1270 kg.


As to BMW i Store, the concept of shop is similar to BMW Brand Store recently opened in Paris. The purpose is to give the chance to clients will familiarize and to test production of a brand of i. At shops there will be also so-called "Product Genius", as well as in official shops Apple which can will share with clients profound knowledge of a model range of BMW cars and new products.
