BMW 3-Series GT

The BMW 3-Series GT (Gran Turismo) model, unlike the versatile person, can receive the sports M-version, transfers Motorauthority with reference to Bernard Ederer's words, the representative of department of BMW public relations.

"While we don't give the negative answer" — Ederer answered a question of the journalist of the Drive edition.  It is already decided that the BMW 3-Series station wagon remains without the version M, but the decision on start of the "loaded" modification of Gran Turismo will be affected by studying of possible demand from clients.

Ederer said that the project "charged" 3-Series GT is technically feasible, since liftbek built on the same platform (though long) as the sedan 3-Series, M-version of which will be released towards the end of 2013. At the same wagon was not originally laid that "sporting spirit" that is present in Gran Turismo.

If the M-version of BMW 3-Series GT will be released, it will have the same six-cylinder 3-liter turbo engine of 450 horsepower, and "charged" sedan 3-Series. This engine will replace the atmospheric 4-liter V8 and will be paired with a seven-step "automatic" with double clutch.

Later the same motor will appear on a compartment and M4 cabriolet.
