In New York come 1200-strong track supercar Shelby 1000


Shelby American Company of Nevada, known as a manufacturer of sports cars based on the Ford Mustang, has promised to bring to the auto show in New York in 1200-strong musclecar GT500 S / C. Thus, the "charged" track sports car was twice as powerful as its standard version and 100 horsepower track version surpassed 1000 Mustang, built for the 50th anniversary of the brand.
Engineers almost completely disassembled the 5,8-liter V8 engine and added it with the four-liter mechanical supercharger.  Also the final system, the cooling system, rods, the crankshaft and pistons were replaced also. 

 The car equipped with an adjustable suspension bracket, a special aero package with additional ventilating openings and big brakes, "capable to surpass on asphalt mechanisms worth three-four times more".



"Shelby 1000 2013 of model year is the most powerful serial musclecar in the market" — Vince Laviolette, the test pilot of Shelby American speaks.  —  "But this car it is impossible to characterize only its improbable power.  At it surprisingly sympathetic steering.  It perfectly heads, providing feeling of really sports car.  It passes turns with the minimum list of a body and tremendous coupling.  At this Shelby 1000 can be such obedient that you will be able easily to ride it on streets of Manhattan". 


 Track 1200-strong Shelby 1000 S/C it will be constructed in number of 100 copies.  The specialversion will cost to buyers 154 thousand 995 dollars, not including the cost of basic Shelby GT500. 

 Representatives of Shelby American also promised to bring other novelty which "won't be based on Ford Mustang" to New York.
